About the Venue

All the biggest acts have played at FibbersFibbers was opened by Tim Hornsby and Michelle Hodgen in August 1992, joined by The Duchess (Leeds) in 1994, The Blues Bar (Harrogate) in 1998 and the Golden Fleece (York) in 1999.

Runners-up in both Freehouse of the Year and Small Business of the Year, the venue has been featured on Yorkshire TV and in Q magazine and is the centre of thriving music activity which has seen the likes of Shed Seven and The Seahorse grow through it.

Live music of every type, every night of the week includes local and national circuit acts.

Take a seat! The lovely leather sofasThe venue is open all day for food of a quality you won't find in most restaurants - can you believe we get reviewed in Eating Out sections! We also use an original Italian machine for cappuccino/espresso - no push-button jobs here.
