ONE MILLION LIVE MUSIC FANS CAN’T BE WRONG.
One of the country’s longest running, best loved and most established live music venues featuring the best international, national and local live music. For ever. And, yeah, that one million bit is right.
ELEVEN THOUSAND BANDS. TWENTY FOUR YEARS AND COUNTING. THREE CHORDS.
OK, so we exaggerated the chords. Hey, but nearly two and half decades as the city’s premier downtown rock ‘n’ roll social club ain’t too bad. We’re right in the centre, you can’t miss us.
YORK’S BEST VENUE SINCE YORK BEGAN
Pretty much every band since 1992 has played at this iconic space, including most of today’s festival headliners. Up close and personal, not from the back of a field.

SO HOW CAN I FIND YOU?
By foot: We are in the city centre, on the Micklegate side of town. Go across Ouse bridge, straight over the lights, turn right at ‘Popworld’, follow the road around and take the first left at ‘Salvation’, the venue is two hundred yards up the street on the left opposite The Hampton Hotel.
By car: There is an NCP car park (Tanner Lane) at the bottom of Toft Green as you turn in, but it closes at 10pm. Limited street parking further up the street past the venue on the opposite side of the road (current charge £2 6pm-midnight). Other car parking is NUNNERY LANE & Railway Station.
By train: We are a short walk from the mainline York station. Turn left as you exit the station and go over the first pedestrian crossing. Follow the walls around, go under the archway and past the cenotaph on your right. Carry straight on past The Cedar Court Grand Hotel and turn right through the iron gates. You’re now on Toft Green and musical heaven is a short walk up the street on the left, opposite the main entrance to The Hampton Hotel.

Lots of lovely places to stay in York, all the info HERE
I FANCY A DRINK AND SOMETHING TO EAT FIRST
Why not join us at the STEIN BIER KELLER immediately next door? Featuring authentic Bavarian keller decor, lots of Europe’s finest beers IN TWO-PINTERS (!) and, of course, extra fraulein for the genuine experience!
We also recommend GIBSON’S two minutes away at the top of Micklegate by the archway. Tell them you’ve come from Fibbers and they’ll be real nice to you. Show them your ticket and they’ll be even nicer!
And keep an eye on MOR MUSIC on Fossgate in the city centre where performers at Fibbers often do early afternoon acoustic and meet-and-greet sessions.
