Following a 2015 sell out tour, we are delighted to present an intimate night with MAVERICK SABRE showcasing a medley of his hits from ‘Lonely Are The Brave’ and ‘Innerstanding’.

This will be a unique opportunity to see him going unplugged, playing to small crowds, with just himself and his guitar.

And optimism abounds on stunning second album, Innerstanding, most obvious on soon-to-be summer anthem Walk Into The Sun, a delirious slice of gospel-soaked soul and funk that radiates good-time vibes. But it also seeps in to songs about heartbreak that look back with affection rather than anger and tales of trouble and struggle tinged with positivity that take in soul, reggae, hip hop and rock.



Fans of the east London-born, rural Ireland-raised singer, still just 23, will be surprised but not shocked. Many of the hallmarks of his 2012, Top 2, gold-selling debut, Lonely Are The Brave, remain – exposed emotions, keenly-observed lyrics, socially conscious tales and sumptuous soul vocals among them.

But the Brit Award nominee born Michael Stafford has grown up a lot of late. The man who once swore he would never make happy music has changed. 

“In the past, I’d wallow when things went wrong,” he admits. “No one was worse to me than me.

 At the start of last year, I was in a very low place, partly because of stuff in my personal life that I had gone through, but mostly because I took myself there. I realised I had to find a different way to deal with my problems. Now I’m much more positive. I’m calmer. I’ve learnt to understand my emotions which in-turn helps me to understand myself.”

“Innerstanding sums me up now. The title refers to me finally understanding myself. I’m a different person, not a negative person, hopefully a higher person. And, it turns out, someone who can write a happy song.”
