Glossy 80s electronic dance pop treats from Manchester, GIRL FRIEND are on tour with The Kooks in March/April and bringing a bit whimsical disco lush and sass to Fibbs. A bit Hot Chip, a bit Real Lies, even a bit of Wild Beasts. And more than a bit FANTASTIC.

Silky vocals and uptempo energy through a hazy retro sheen. More glam clubland than seamy street-life, “Will you meet me this evening?/You mean more to me than you’ll ever know,” croons frontman Amory. If there’s a singer with a name more resembles the French word for ‘love’ we don’t know who it is.

MASSIVE reviews in the press, radio and pretty much everywhere else. Remember those heady days when you had to be in at the beginning of a new band, a new movement? HERE’S ONE OF THOSE DAYS.
