Could this be the best blues-rock band in the world? Featuring Gerry McAvoy (Rory Gallagher, Nine Below Zero), Ted McKenna (Sensational Alex Harvey Band) & Marcel Scherpenzeel “…the closest guitarist to Rory you will ever hear” – and that’s from the man who played next to Gallagher, and on every album, for twenty years.

A CELEBRATION OF THE MUSIC OF RORY GALLAGHER – and here’s what the press has to say…

“Having had the privilege of seeing Rory Gallagher live (as well as several tribute acts), I can honestly say that this gig is the closest that anyone will ever come to his sound, style and sheer energy of delivery. This wasn’t a gig, it was a concert and it’s great to see they are doing a fantastic job of keeping the music of this great musician alive” – Rob Dodgson (Annular Media UK)

“Rory’s music covered the globe, producing some of the greatest rock/blues for three decades. Sadly we lost Rory in ’95, to his devoted fans and followers the ultimate tragedy, but BAND OF FRIENDS is not a tribute, more a celebration of his life and music – a rendition of a composer’s former work performed by those who have a full right to both perform it and choose their musicians. RG would approve. No doubt’ – Noel Buckley (Get Ready to Rock UK)

European Blues Award Winner 2013 (Best Band)
European Blues Award winner 2015 Ted McKenna (Best Musician, Performance)

You already know this is going to be one helluva show, do you really need any more persuading??
