Following recent run with Escape The Fate, Glamour Of The Kill announce ‘After Hours’ tour!
Over to frontman Davey Richmond, “We’re really excited to announce our first headline tour in three years. We’ve been doing a lot of supporting in the last year to reach out to new audiences and now it’s exciting to to bring all these people together, focusing effort on making each show special. This will be our chance to introduce songs we haven’t played live before, new AND old, as well as create an awesome show!”
Drawing from a deep well of hard-driving music, rebelling against the restrictive “rules” of nitpicking subgenres, Glamour Of The Kill raise flags high for the party vibe of ‘80s hair metal and the soaring energy of today’s more aggressive vanguard of sound with new EP, ‘After Hours’.
Here’s a band paying attention to musicianship but never losing the party atmosphere!!!!
The rampaging gallop of Maiden, the party rock of Sunset Strip, the twin guitars of Thin Lizzy; it all comes together as their own unique sound. Energised pop and crunching metal, big riffs and even BIGGER choruses.
Theatrical live shows and massive Download and Sonisphere appearances alongside worldwide touring with Papa Roach and Escape The Fate has seen the band carve their own niche, departing from ‘industry’ teams and offering a middle finger to conformity. The ‘After Hours’ EP offers a much grittier, ball-grabbing approach, gone is the clean-cut!
Full frontal tracks such as ‘Out Of Control’, featuring Papa Roach frontman Jacoby Shaddix, are in-your-face, no-holds-barred displays of aggression. GOTK are here to stay, and have brought some pals along for the ride.
Speaking of Shaddix and Mabbitt’s involvement and the decision to crowd fund, Davey Richmond said, “It was a tough decision to leave everything behind and go our own way, but it was clear to us only three days into our Kickstarter campaign that we’d made the right call.”
He continues, “After smashing through the funding target it became more about us being inspired to create something special as a thank you to the fans who showed confidence in us. When writing and recording, the more we listened we could tell there was something else we wanted to add to already exciting material. Over the last year we’ve been fortunate enough to tour with good friends in Escape The Fate and Papa Roach and talked a lot about future collaborations. And with ‘After Hours’ being our most unique expression of everything we love about music, it only seemed right that we bring together all our ideas of the last twelve months, and make them a reality. Phone calls were made, vocals were laid down, and now it’s amazing to hear all our ideas come to life.”
With songwriting, guest appearances and fan base belief of this calibre, you’d be a fool to dismiss Glamour Of The Kill and ‘After Hours’.
