THE NWoBHM LORDS OF THE NORTH RETURN!

5-piece twin guitar mayhem in that classic British Heavy Rock mould, with a touch of prog, goth, thrash and US metal/rock thrown in. MORPHEUS RISING are dragging NWOBHM kicking and screaming into the new millennium.

This is The Next Generation!

With a distinctive style heavily informed by Lizzy, Maiden and Alter Bridge, Morpheus Rising keep the old guard happy and show the new generation how it’s done.

Central to the band’s sound is that classic twin guitar partnership coupled with Simon Wright’s dynamic and powerful, classic rock vocal. From the anthemnic NWoBHM rock of ‘Lord of the North’ to the lighter ‘Those Who Watch’ this is a band that doesn’t disappoint.

Their debut 2011 album, critically acclaimed Let The Sleeper Awake, had heavy radio rotation by Johnny Doom (Kerrang!), Shane Carlson (ARfm) and Tony Corner (Firebrand) as the band relentlessly toured the UK.

Loads of column inches, and cover mount CDs, by Classic Rock Prog and Classic Rock Society magazines led to sales across Europe, Asia and North America and 2013 saw the band touring with Panic Room; and the first line-up change in two years with ex-Saxon and Oliver Dawson’s Saxon drummer Nigel Durham joining the band full time.

Signing to USA label Melodic Revolution Records and releasing second studio album, the Kickstarter-financed EXIMIUS HUMANUS, the mighty Morphs ended 2014 with an O2 tour supporting Graham Bonnet.

2015 saw tours with Killer Queen and Hi-On Maiden and with a new, third album due out in the first half of 2016, this night promises to be a blistering return to Fibbers!
