Featured on BBC Introducing & BBC Radio 6, PURA VIDA are the latest in a growing movement of great guitar acts with homegrown ideas and fragmented storytelling. Here at Fibbers we haven’t had this spirit here since 1969, or at least the mid-2000s when DJs played at your mate’s wedding not arenas – and GUITARS RULED.

Influenced by Smiths / Last Dinosaurs / Districts / Arctic Monkeys / Catfish & The Bottlemen / JAWS and the like, Tom Hogan (Vox, guitar), Jack Ledger (guitar), Piers Mansell (bass) & Tom Ansell (drums) the boys have all but stolen the night at recent Fibbers shows.

November 2016 saw the release of their first EP ‘Sundae’ (iTunes, Spotify, Deezer, Amazon music, Google Play etc) and now March 2017 marks their one year anniversary and the month in which they release their second single ‘Sway’. What better way to celebrate it than with a headline gig at Fibbers?

Top support acts too, with all girl 4-piece alt-indie MOM (think Wolf Alice / Runaways / Haim / Fidlar / Pixies / Drenge) and FRAMES (Kings of Leon / Killers / Catfish & Bottlemen / Black Keys / Strokes) who recorded self titled debut EP at Sheffield’s 2Fly Studios (home of Arctic Monkeys debut).
