We rather like THE BLACK LAGOONS who, despite their tender years, rock like the proverbial – with balls like a big ‘ole bear as well – and The Creature made Tom Robinson’s Fresh On The Net Faves. Not bad…

Also on the bill, perennial faves DEAD WHITE DOVES who, let’s be right about this, can pretty much out-rock, out-stoner and out-grunge the best of them. It’s another trek down the A64, Yorkshire’s answer to Route 66 but without the glamour, for another of our fave bands of whom Camden’s Dublin Castle said, “Led Zep style blues rock with raw, grungy undertones which works well. Black Keys sounding in places but with a very unique sound of their own”. You’ve probably also caught them supporting Ultrasound, The Family Rain and Spear Of Destiny. Yup, awesome.

Kings of Leon, Babyshambles and early Stone Roses? We’ll have some of that; bring it on GROLAR BEAR! Dirty Riffs, a crisp back beat and a rather fine grungy-psyche rock live show to boot.
